What I offer

Your personal equality law consultant

I am a qualified solicitor (non-practising) with over three decades of experience.

Since 2006, I’ve specialised in equality law, providing practical, plain-English advice to claimants experiencing unlawful discrimination and harassment of all kinds.

I’ve managed charities, run successful equality law projects, and founded Suffolk Law Centre. My hands-on experience as an employer, service provider, and legal expert means I understand the challenges you face—and know how to solve them.

I am an experienced trainer. I’m also a commentator, in blogs and social media, and have given evidence in Parliament on related issues.

When you work with me, you get:

  • one-to-one attention from an Equality Act expert
  • practical advice that works in the real world
  • a partner with integrity and independence.

  • Training for HR, line managers, policymakers, and customer service teams
  • Delivered remotely or in-person
  • Comprehensive handouts and follow-up support

Personalised consulting

I work directly with you to address your unique challenges, providing clear, actionable advice. Whether you’re navigating a tricky complaint, balancing competing rights, or updating your policies, I’ll help you get it right.

Examples of how I can help

Pre-litigation concerns

A manager with a disability requests part-time, remote work. This is not your company’s normal practice. How do you respond without risking a discrimination claim?

Post-incident prevention

Your business has received a number of complaints about sexual harassment. How do you meet your duty to prevent it?

Balancing equality rights

How do you accommodate both Muslim women and trans individuals in leisure pool facilities?

Policy-making compliance

How can public sector teams ensure events and publications meet Public Sector Equality Duty requirements?
